Description

Exclusively for members of Liverpool Law Society

We are delighted to invite members to an upcoming roundtable organised by Liverpool Law Society in partnership with Department of Business and Trade to discuss the international opportunities in legal services.

According to the latest available data from the ONS, across their domestic and international activities, financial and related professional services contributed £243.7bn to UK real (inflation-adjusted) gross value added (GVA) in 2023, representing around £12 of every £100 of economic output.

Financial and related professional services is among the UK’s largest industries as measured by GVA. Compared with 2022, financial and related professional services GVA decreased by 0.6% in real terms. However exports of services have increased in real terms over the same period, and DBT are keen to encourage and support further increases.

At this in-person roundtable event, there will be the opportunity to:

  •  Connect with a Department of Trade Local International Trade Adviser and Sector Advisor for free exporting advice.
  • Learn about the different Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) being negotiated internationally and what this means for service businesses such as law firms.
  • Discover the range of free support available from the Department for Business and Trade.
  • Hear first-hand practical advice
  • Learn how to take advantage of the opportunities available
  • Access support from DBT for your expansion abroad or dealing with clients based abroad
