It is Ash Wednesday on 6th March and Lent will begin. The annual ecumenical service will take place at St Nick’s, also known as the Seaman’s Church on Wednesday at 12.15 pm to celebrate the beginning of Lent in the middle of the City.
This year the Archbishop of York is coming to Liverpool Parish Church at 12.15 pm on Wednesday 6 March to lead the service. He will be joined by the Catholic Archbishop of Liverpool, the Bishops of Liverpool and Warrington, and the Chair of the Methodist District. As well as the Lord Lieutenant, the High Sheriff, the Lord Mayor and others from the civic and business communities who will be in attendance.
