Following on from the successful ‘Pathways into the Legal Profession’ event arranged by Liverpool Law Society in February this year, a workshop event for Year 12 students is going ahead for those who are considering legal careers to have taster sessions about the law. Led by the University of Law, in conjunction with Liverpool Law Society, invitations have been sent to schools and colleges across Merseyside and to date over 50 students have signed up to attend from 8 education establishments.
This event on 26 June, to be held at Hope University’s city centre campus, will provide a chance for students to discover more about the skills and knowledge required in the practice of law through interactive sessions. The President of Liverpool Law Society, John Ballam, will say a few words of welcome to the students. John commented “This is a wonderful follow-up to the event we held at the Town Hall. Explore Law will give the students practical experience and insights into what a career in the law will involve.”
The Society’s Education & Charities Committee has a long tradition of arranging events for Liverpool City Region school students.
