For the academic year 2023-2024, LJMUs School of Law will be fully funding 105 hour work experience law internships (ringfenced to L6 law students) with employers who can offer a supportive and structured environment that allows students to grow in confidence and enhance their skills.
1 of the 105 hours includes the student attending at 30 minute appointment with an LJMU Careers and Employability Advisor at the beginning and end of the internship.
The internship programme provides an opportunity that allows LJMU undergraduate level 6 law students to gain valuable work experience that enables the student to discover their unique skills and talents, whilst employers discover the value of engaging an intern in their company.
For cohort 1, LJMUs School of Law, Employer Engagement Team and Unitemps is seeking hosts to support skill enhancement and development.
LJMUs School of Law pays the full cost of wages, whilst Unitemps provides full support with advertising the opportunity, candidate selection, processing timesheets and payments to students.
The project form is now open for an anticipated start date in October 2023. If you want to get involved, please ensure you complete all company appraisal questions at the beginning of the project form. Please complete and submit this project form by midday on Friday 1st September 2023.
