Speaker Biographies

Catherine Bamford is the CEO and Founder of BamLegal, a legal technology consultancy. She was named by the Financial Times as a Top Ten Legal Technologist, has won a European Women in Law Tech award and was listed as a Women of Legal Tech Honoree by the American Bar Association. Catherine’s company, BamLegal, helps law firms and in-house legal departments improve the delivery of their legal services through the smart application of technology.

Josh Bates is Legal Director at O’Connors and heads up the financial services and legal services regulatory teams. He has extensive experience in providing advice to law firms, claims management companies, insurance businesses, financial services firms, fintech and digital assets businesses. With sound knowledge of legal and financial services regulation, Josh excels at deciphering complex regulatory handbooks. He ensures clients achieve compliance and commercial success through the adoption of innovative strategies that align with regulatory requirements. Blending his passion for all things digital and his regulatory knowledge, Josh advises businesses operating at the frontier of the evolving cryptoasset and AI landscape, including lawyers looking to adopt lawtech solutions.

Edmund Chan is the Head of Legal Tech & Innovation at Hill Dickinson LLP. He is a highly experienced lawyer with a strong understanding of the operational and technology needs of legal teams. Edmund has over nine years of experience working within legal operations and legal technology, focusing on delivering solutions to drive operational efficiency, enhance the quality of legal services and lower the cost of delivery within the legal function. This has included leading and managing teams to deliver legal managed services, as well as deploying and implementing legal technology solutions and platforms.

Brian Noon is a Director & Co-Founder of In-House Legal Solutions Ltd and is a pragmatic and creative lawyer by background with experience of both private and in-house practice in London and the regions. Following 5 years working as an in-house solicitor for the largest UK pension scheme and its captive investment manager, Brian saw the opportunity to co-found In-House Legal Solutions (IHLS), an innovative provider of outsourced in-house legal team solutions,

Henry Sturm is Head of Research and Insights at Legal Geek. He is a Data-driven legal strategist dedicated to advancing equity, with expertise at the intersection of civil litigation, access to justice, technology, and legal design. Proven leadership experience guiding national pro bono initiatives and legal tech projects.
