Getting your head around what psychological interventions are appropriate, and who is qualified to tell you ~ Dr Jaime Craig

As in physical health, in mental / psychological health there are many different interventions / models out there and an evidence-base that informs which of these work for different presentations or difficulties. We will look at the types of interventions that are often recommended for children and adults with psychological difficulties and which of these have a reliable evidence-base. We will consider how this translates to the unique context of family court proceedings and what you need from an expert witness assessment before commissioning intervention/therapy. We will also explore the different types of psychological/therapeutic professions and titles, how to work out what their training equips them to do and crucially if they are regulated.
